*In the image is two white cigarettes burning out slowly.
*The background is sky blue
*Small written words in small white font on the bottom of the of the ad.
*The bottom right corner has the logo ASH in red which distinguishes it from the image as a whole.
*There is a transition of colors in the image from light blue at the bottom to the dark blue at the top.
*The fumes get wider and bigger as the cigarettes burn out.
*The two burning cigarettes separate the words at the bottom. On one side is "Tobacco related deaths since 2001: 30,000,000" on the other side is "For help, call 1800 ASH INFO". I think the purpose of this is to distinguish the problem from the solution. The problem is smoking, and the problem is quitting.

*This add gives you a lot to think about.
*There is two shades of purple. The rectangle border around the image is dark purple.
*The inside of the border is a mixed light purple color.
*The center of the image is faded. It kind of shines a light the "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY" making it the centerpiece of the ad.
*The "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY"ad's color differs from the whole ad.
*The bottom right corner has the corporation's logo in a white font surrounded by a small purple border to make it noticeable. It's also by itself.
*There is a lot of empty space around the words HAPPY FATHER'S DAY. I think these spaces signify the viewer's mind. It makes you think a lot before you use anything other than Durex.

Connection with other ads:
All the ads i chose portray images of objects that impact consumers in a negative way but still use.
Many of the ads are simple and for simple minded people. There isn't many images and words on them.
3 of the adds use fear to scare the viewer into buying their products. Also use encouragement.
1 of them uses prevention and "what if" as a mean to buying their products.
The last one uses consequence and hope as a means to sell their product.

  1. I'm not sure it if's supposed to look like it or not, but for the first image I thought it was the twin towers. Just because of how they're lined up, the amount of smoke, the difference between the rate of burning, so on. It may have nothing to do with the towers, but it definitely looks like it to me.
