FOX news was created in 1996 by Rupert Murdoch. Back in the 1980s, Murdoch wanted to have a station that will compete against the three other big news stations. So, he bought 11 other stations and he created FOX News. The idea was that the channel would be broadcasting 24 hours a day. Now, FOX is owned by the FOX Entertainment Group. It's head quarters are in New York City.

All of these articles are very straight forward no matter what country they are from. They all tell what the article is going to be about in the title. This gives the reader a hint in what they are going to read. There were not many similarities among the ABC article and the two others, FOX and Euronews. I found it really interesting that the ABC article's title is basically what the whole article is. All that was written there was the information given in the title, nothing else included. I could understand a little why though, because it was from the associated press. Both the FOX and Euronews stated that last year, 2,600 people were killed in mining incidents. Of the three, the most informative article was the Fox article. It was the longest and most detailed, with Euronews coming in second. A difference between the three is that the numbers of deaths and trapped persons are not the same. I think that it is not the same because it was different times when the articles were written and the news of the mining accident was just beginning to get out to the public so the deaths and number of people trapped were not really known yet.
