The Star Tribune and MSNBC.com both talked about the economical setbacks caused by previous hurricanes and Hurricane Paula. The Star Tribune was much more detailed and explained that the tobacco fields and the cigar industry would be effected. The Star Tribune also used residents to prove the fear on the people of the hurricanes dangerous effects. It also provided many specifics on the location and direction of the hurricane, as well as wind speeds and heavy rainfall. MSNBC.com spoke mostly of the location and future direction of the hurricane. The National Post was a much smaller article that listed very brief information. It said the Hurricane Paula was the 16th named hurricane in 2010. The article also listed more information on the Hurricane effecting Mexico. This occurred before Paula reached Cuba. These differences exist to provide variety.
